We had Zone Conference down in Cluj which was long as usual. Didn't expect it to be that long but funny. We hopped on the trained next few stops was Arad which meant that the other Elders from there would hop on. They got on but they didn't even see us as they walked right by. My comp and I trying to hide from them. lol. But we seen this dude hop on not being from here I busted out some nigerian on him. Then the other Elders caught us. They were laughing saying we heard Lafo'ou voice far away. My comp looked at me like dang you talk to loud. Lol. My bad. But the dude is super cool he married a Romanian girl here from Arad. Mena came all the way from Nigeria for school. I hecka busted out all the pigeon I knew on him. I know hecka brown nosein it. Thanks again to my fellow nigerian teachers. But he couldn't stop laughing then my comp looked at me e.lafo'ou you talk too much. Shared with him our reason for being here. But its funny when open up with people about your life they open up. We followed through with him and sent the referrals to the other elders.
Zone Conference was pretty interesting and took in alot from it one thing that our mission president had asked us was practicing telling our stories at first it seemed easy. But once we practiced with every single missionary going up and sharing their own story I got to understand a piece about why they are here or how the gospel has helped changed their own life. It almost felt like one of those AA meetings at first like someone had mentioned but everyone comes from different background. Plus, it takes alot to open up and be REAL. I know that without this gospel my father would not have seen the light of Christ and my aunt finally being baptized has been a blessing in disguise. We all may come from different upbringings but without this gospel I wouldn't be where I am now sharing the message about Christ with the people of Romania/Moldova.
After Zone Conference, we booked it straight to the train station with like literally less than few minutes. By the time we got there my comp was like uh I don't think we are not going to make it. I seen that train and straight booked it and my comp still trying to get out the car dropped a few things. Phew....Jumped on my comp looked at me like you straight left me. Weh my bad. I still need to work on that. Reminded me when one time on my mission how I like rushed my Constanta district to the train. Hurry Hurry Hurry...lol. But super happy we made it.
This week we gave a blessing to a member who has been ill for a few days. We went with Fratele Paniti he a interesting member but super energetic time to time. We hope that some of the members here don't get sick this past Sunday we had 4 of our investigators come to church and the talks given by two members were on point. I am amazed how much spirit they have to share and bare witness of Christ but live it as well. Our investigator Bianca asked us this past weekend if we can help out with an service project. I was shocked and surprised because she was the coordinator for the project got feed the homeless and talk with them. Listening to their stories gives a better understanding and open up my eyes more to peoples lives. Reminded me of my moms work place. Love doing service for those who are less fortunate or who don't have much. I know thanksgiving is next and just to keep the constant reminder of being thankful with life. Hope everyone is doing good and I hope yall stay warm.
