This past week has been a wonderful opportunity for our mission in having someone from the first presidency come down and speak to the people of Romania/Moldova and to the missionaries. Listening to President Uchtdorf has really helped me seek out the endless opportunities in my mission. I realize that I have a calling here and to never forget our purpose here as missionaries and that we should always put our trust in the Lord. We are set out to specific cities for a reason and to help the people come closer to Christ. I am truly thankful for all the things my mission president has done for me I continue to put my trust in him. I have come to realize that I need to hold on strong and never lose faith on the people we teach. This is one true gospel the people here need to know. And its up to us to seek out and be bold in our efforts. Allowing ourselves to focus on the CORE. The basics of this gospel is solid and it is just up to us to be the best at teaching those who are willing to receive us. We must INVITE MANY every day and FOCUS ON A FEW.
This week for us has been really good. Having my comp out and about has been funny to watch. Met with Jesse a Nigerian real funny having him teach us more pidgeon and some stuff. But he just got back from Brasov. His knowledge of the Bible is super solid we just hope we can get him to understand the BOM more. My comp still in that shy phase in speaking so I have patience with him. All I can say is patience is a blessing. lol. Nice having him be apart of teaching English. Really allows him to speak more Romanian. For him he had a good time teaching especially with beginners. He realizes that they are in position when he was trying to learn Romanian. Always nice to stick with the basics. We have the Ivorys come down to Constanta to show support of the new Branch President and thank the previous one. We look forward in supporting our new Branch President every step of the way. My comp got called as the Elders Quorum President. So we got the ok to call him President LE-MON. lol. He looks at me and says what do I do? I was like I don't man but congrats to ya. hahaha. I like how we just get call-on-teer on the spot for callings. But its ok always gotta make sure we ready. Hope everyone is doing good back at home. Yall in my prayers always First and foremost, Feliz Cumpleanos to my pops Jose. I know its early but hope Dingo will behave himself on your birthday. Thankful for all the things that you have done for me in life. Many more years and blessings to come.
Sorry our internet sucks here in Constanta all of sudden its a random hour changes at the library. They love to celebrate random name day holidays today. This week for us was super good. I got my new boboc Elder Lemon. Good thing he was given heads about the meaning of his name in Romanian earlier. lol. Lets just leave it at that. Super good kid, loves tennis and ping pong...good thing it runs in the family line...lol jk and from Logan, Utah. Excited to show him what I have learned from being trained. I want the best for him and I know he will do so much better than me. Still feels weird that I am training and can't expect him alot but with the right guidance and push he will learn. This week we got to visit a less active member and without notice his friend who is our investigator. We went with a member to teach up on Baptism for the dead, but I thought in my head what if Igor is there. And Alin was like lets just see what happens. We walked in and both were there. Best part for me was seeing my comp push and speak in Romanian sharing a part from the Resto Sequence and bore his testimony about baptism for the dead. The importance of going to the temple is not only for families and those getting married but even for the single, widow, and ALL. The temple is a place of peace and comfort for us to experience. President Uchtdorf came yesterday to our mission to speak with all of Romania and Moldova. All I can say it was worth the watch and truly bless to hear him speak. Excited to see him tomorrow. Our mission conference is this week I am excited and learn alot from Mountains 2 Climb'. Loved all the speakers yesterday from Ellis to Carmen from Brasov sharing the importance of families and temples. So happy to see her growth in the church. Happy for her and Razvan getting sealed in Madrid this past few weeks I believe. Hope everyone is doing good and hope you all have a solid week. |
