ne! Thanks agian to the best MTC teachers F.Simmons "PrettyBoy" & S. Remsberg "theLegend". Time sure goes by quick from packing up in the MTC and flying out to Romania. Time went by too quick. Everyone rushing last minute farewells to our entire zone. Its been an amazing experience with our fellow Italians in our zone and the people that we have crossed passed with at the MTC. Cherished every single moment there and with my District and the teachers. Just let alone flying out I was so excited but then again wanted to sleep so much when we traveled out. From SLC>NYC>AMS>RMA just flying out was long and tiring but truly blessed and thankful to arrive here in Romania safely. Thanks to our travel cooridinator S.Brinkman and my travel group making it one to remember flying out here V.Reed & V.Cochran. Lol. When we first got here everyone was so excited but then again we all got that impression that we head to run this 5K right after we got out the plane ride. The Ivorys' sent out an email saying that once we touched down we would start hittn this run'. I was like oh dang great gotta start running off this MTC weight. We met the Ivorys at the airport and they took us out to IKEA for meatballs and told us that we wont be running until the next day. For most in our district they ended up being mohe uli with the clothes they got on for a nite. Lol. Good thing for carry on's. Some of missionaries that came and picked us up and asked me if I had knew V.Laititi I told them that I knew of him. We got to meet those who were leaving and meet those who were staying at this hill in Bucharest. Met a few familiar faces from school. LDSBC. lol. I recognized her once I got up the hill S.Johnson. I laughed because everyone was mann V.Lafo'ou you know everyone. lol. We dropped by the office and when I walked in I was like dang this is some high end office space for missionaries. In my head Im like the Ivorys live up to their name Ivory Home Real Estate'. Being here is so foreign and new to my eyes just seeing everything and getting settled in at a hotel has been the experience. I love how they emphasized on the clothes for guys and style. In my head, Im like I will mahaii any pants I get and let alone try and fit in one. Hahaha. Hair is doing the most here. Sister Ivory wanted to make that clear to all the elders. When we seen most of the elders here they looked like they just wore semi-casual clothes here with white shirt and tie. Something new and different for me. We went in for interview with P.Ivory and he knew everyone was talking about me and V.Laititi being comps for my trainer. But I kind of new that it wouldn't happen right off the bat but in the future it would. Finding out who our comps are was too surreal because the bond that I have made with the MTC district group was coming to a split. Excited for each and every single one of missionaries that I started with at the MTC. I know they will do great things in each city. We found out who our comps were in the office.
My trainer is V.Chatterton, Boise, ID. He was excited to find out that I was his comp. I was happy that I got a palangi comp so that I can continue focusing. lol. I will be serving in the city of ARAD far west of Romania. Sleeper train which was 10 hrs from Bucharest. One experience I hope not to go through again. Which I know I will in a few months. He is really chill and laid back. Knows alot of the language. Loves talking with people and a character. Learning alot from him. Pday here at cafe is fun. Hard to see children as beggers and their parents would just let roam off and just do it. The gypsies here are very different and new to me. Church here reminded me of Judge Judy on TV but the spanish version. Love the members in our ward and the investigators that come. Funny seeing all the kuli's in the streets literally. Laugh every time I hear that I get to teach English class Adv. Im like hold up first I need to learn Eng first before I start teaching people. Eng is my worst subject but good thing this week we got to chill with kid from Lipov who new more eng than me because only one person came to the beginner class for the sisters. But its ok I know it will go through smoothly.I have the best district here S.Gibson musically talented with uke and piano S.Dupont who speaks french and The best trainer V.Chatterton. Senior Missionaries V. & S. Smiths' very funny and character at heart. That's about it for now everyone. Keep ya updated next week. Love sharing the gospel and bringing lost souls unto Christ.
