Life here in ConstAngles' has been good even though the weather is hecka hot. Last week first few days were slow but picked it up by Wedsenday. First, English class was kind of small but that meant it more English Contacting for us. So it was really cool to roam around Constanta and contact to people about our class and sharing our purpose here in Romania. Met some really cool people and nice to see my comp get himself out there and give it a shot. We had to make a lot sweets for member visits with Constaninescu. Made alot of brownies and cookies from the sisters and swung by alot of members from the morning until the afternoon. Really cool visiting members for the first time the ones that I haven't met yet. Each visit we got to share a good spiritual message. It was kind of like put on the spot for us. But felt really good about each so some were in English and then others in Romanian. Really loved sharing a talk given by President Thomas S. Monson called Choices'
"The first one was Decisions determine destiny. Every decision we make takes us in a direction either closer to God or further away. How are your decisions playing out? Next was Choices have consequences. What more can be said? The choice is ours, but the consequences of that choice are a foregone conclusion. Do we think about the consequences before we make the choice? Third, President Monson said we need to choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong. How many times do we not stand up for our beliefs with our peers or other contacts because it is just easier to not say anything or just go with the flow of the crowd because it is easier? Last, but not least, we need to Choose Christ. Every choice and every decision influences our closeness to Christ." -SB
Really good talk if you haven't read it do it. My comp shared a scripture verse in Alma 37:37 that was really cool and needed for a member. I read up on the verse and pondered about it to myself as a missionary. Funniest English lesson happened last week where Alex wanted to make sentences using any Animals. It got to one where he used GORILLA correctly and I stopped and said No thats incorrect its GA-RII-WRAH! He copied what I said and my comp stopped and looked and was hecka dyin. No worries I will correct Alex this week. Tibi a member here in Constanta has a love and passion for theater and the arts has a class here at church. It was really cool seeing my comp share the same passion with a group of young teenages the same passion. This group of teens reminded me alot of the group I met in Sibiu so it was super chill. Had one of the members Sora Mihaiela teach us how to make Ardei Umpluti but it was more like she did all the work and we bought all the stuff and ate it. Shes always looks after us and make sure we are well fed. It was super good stuffed peppers for days. The last two weeks she wanted us to teach her son Marius who is young man who works alot. But has been coming to church with his mother. The first time we met up with him we taught him the Resto. We decided to share Meet the Mormons film with him and felt he wanted to see more outside of Romania. It was really cool because he loved the story from the Candy Bomber. This week we hoped to teach the Plan of Salvation and pray that everything goes well. His mother called us after real quick and wanted to know how the lesson went with him. She prays and hope that he will get baptized soon because of the blessing that has come upon on hers. She wanted us to pray over the phone with her for her son and that she gets a new job. It was funny but really cool in the end. Keep Marius & Sora Mihaiela in your prayers. Thanks everyone hope that you all had a chill week. See ya Next Week!
